I find inspiration in the uncanny, the familiar, and the unintentionally appealing. My work is guided by colour, repetition, proportion and the cultivation of glow. The people and houses I depict are complex and storied. I aim to expose an honest portrait; one made up of what my subject chooses to show, and what they can't help but show.

I do custom paintings on a commission basis. This can be a beautiful way to preserve your memory of a special person. While it is best if I am able to meet the person, I am also able to work from photographs.
